Job description
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as well as weekly sales reports for internal and group reporting needs. This entails monitoring the accuracy and timeliness of all reports as well as giving suggestions for enhancing the reporting structure.
Create and maintain cash flow estimates.
- Keep tabs on cash and bank balances
- Communicate with the business's bankers
- Create telegraphic transfers, checks, and other payment methods.
- Create regular bank reconciliations.
- Keep track of petty cash
Accounts Receivable / Credit Control including:
- Setup and upkeep of credit files for all clients with credit conditions
- Create a monthly statement of customer accounts.
- Every two weeks and at the conclusion of each month, prepare an ageing analysis.
- Maintaining track of all long-standing balances
Fixed Asset Management including:
- Upkeep of the fixed asset register
- Maintain control lists and analyse the additions and disposals of fixed assets.
- Align physical assets with the fixed assets register.
General Accounting including:
- Create and input journal vouchers for payments, receipts, and expenses.
- Create invoices and input debit and credit notes.
- Create an examination of general ledger accounts (such as a balance sheet item analysis).
- Maintain master records for customers and suppliers in the computer system.
- Every month, prepare intercompany account reconciliations.
