IBRO is looking for a motivated early-career professional with good interpersonal and multitasking skills to take on the role of Grants and Programs Coordinator with responsibility for implementing our extensive portfolio of global career development programs and internationally coordinated schools. The Grants and
Programs Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career in scientific non-profit administration and with an interest in creating lasting impact to IBRO and its community members.

The Grants and Programs Coordinator will execute IBRO’s global funding programs and be responsible for day-to-day communication with various stakeholders, including school organizers, members of IBRO’s regional committees and neuroscientists from across the globe. The Grants and Programs Coordinator is part of a dedicated team and reports to the Director of Grants and Programs. Specific responsibilities include daily management of IBRO’s annual funding calendar, managing 30+ funding cycles from application launch, to grant review and award notification. Our new colleague will also help develop
IBRO’s career tracking initiatives and alumni coordination.

IBRO offers a stimulating and supportive work environment within a strong team that is focused on delivering our mission to the global neuroscience community. The secretariat of IBRO consists of six full time staff members that work in a transversal and integrated manner. The IBRO Grants and Programs
Coordinator should expect occasional travel in connection with his/her activities for IBRO.

The ideal candidate must be methodical and detail oriented by nature. The role is ideally suited for individuals who are systematic, proactive and with a natural inclination for a data driven and structured approach. As the first point of contact for prospective applicants and awardees, candidates for the position must have excellent communication skills combined with very strong English language skills
(fluency in both written and spoken English). A degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.

The Grants and Programs Coordinator will be based in the IBRO office in Brussels, Belgium. The position is permanent and full time (38h /week). Belgium at the time of hire.

Salary: €38,000.00 - €42,000.00 per year
