Job Summary

This Manager role will support the Swedish production site at GKN Aerospace with site common Supply Chain processes and tools. The role requires both strategic and operational skills together with high ability to work autonomously to meet the objectives. You will have close collaboration with internal and global stakeholders such as production value streams, strategic planning, finance and global functions. The role reports to Site Supply Chain and Procurement Director and you will be a part of a management team covering both logistics and operational procurement.


Key Responsibilities

You will lead a team of Supply Chain Management (SCM) professionals, accountable for the deployment and continuous improvement of SCM processes and tools. The department’s scope includes:

  • Plan Operations Supply and External Supply (SIOP)
  • Create Materials Plans (MPS, MRP).
  • Create and manage master production schedule (MPS) and schedule production operations (Shop Floor Scheduling)
  • Manage warehousing (internal movements, warehousing)
  • Supply Chain Risk management
  • Facilitate the site’s inventory management process and improvement plans (DIO)
  • Provide updates in timely manner of KPIs, project plans and reporting as decided for the site need.
  • Support Global/Regional Supply Chain Management team in the development and/or deployment of Business standards.
  • Provide site Supply Chain function with relevant training
  • Responsible for data management, governance, and master data quality in the local ERP system and in conjunction with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.

As a manager you are also responsible for:

  • Providing a safe working environment for the team.
  • The department´s costs (headcount, budget).
  • Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring that employees are aware of the policies and their individual responsibilities and accountabilities (e,g,- Import and Export Control Regulations; Ethics Policy on Contracting, etc..).

Job Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a business mindset and is interested in a proactive way of working with a high technical content. We believe a successful candidate will possess a high degree of flexibility to adapt to new situations and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.



Essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics - or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in both English and Swedish, spoken and written
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and SAP
  • Leadership capabilities and an excellent understanding of operational delivery for all SCM disciplines

Desirable qualifications:

  • Knowledge of aerospace products and technologies
  • 5+ years relevant business experience, ideally in both planning/logistics operations and/or Programs
  • Practitioner level Inventory Management
  • Project Management
  • End-to-End visibility and data exchange
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning, SIOP / MPS / MRP
