Work with Ventia for the Hauraki District Council Roles (HDC) Road Maintenance Contract! We are seeking suitably qualified Cyclic Patrol Workers based in Paeroa.

About the Role
This role involves working alone or in pairs and perform cyclic maintenance duties such as clearing kerb & channel and cesspits, filling potholes, checking, and clearing culverts, putting up flooding signs and clearing debris in weather events.
The ideal candidate will have good judgement and an excellent work ethic. They will be curious and take interest in the key issues which are problematic for the customer, company, and client. They will be able to work unsupervised without losing motivation and will be part of us lifting our service to the community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have work experience in road maintenance. No formal qualifications are required, but basic handyman/maintenance skills are a definite advantage. STMS qualifications are also an advantage. Along with the following:
- Class 1, 2 Driver’s License
- Basic maintenance and construction equipment experience is beneficial
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures and practices
- Demonstrated good verbal and written skills
- Able to work within a team environment and have quality workmanship
As this is a physical, manual role, you will need to be physically fit – the job requires digging, heavy lifting, prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.
