The Court Registry Support Officer (CRSO) plays an important support role in the operation of a court. The CRSO role is to provide support to Registry Officers and to deliver services across the following range of registry administration functions:
- Provision of general administrative support to Registry Officers
- Professional and efficient frontline telephone and customer service
- Court Attending
- Filing
- Incoming and outgoing mail
- Provision of registry office supplies
- Maintenance of equipment
- Production of documents
The position of CRSO may operate solely within one area of principal accountability or within a combination of accountabilities.
The position holder may be required to travel and work at other court locations within the court cluster.

To be successful in the role in this role you will have experience in customer service, both in front line and written capacities. With these strong interpersonal skills, you will be able to confidently address large groups of people, as well as act with tact and discretion. We are looking for someone who has a high level of resilience, flexibility within the workplace and is self-driven.
The ability to speak a second language may also be of advantage.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be highly organised and able to switch between priorities quickly
- Have strong standard of written and oral communication
- Have a strong level of ITC literacy
- Have an understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga Maori

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $48,343 to $68,249 – while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
